About Bonnie

Bonnie Jae Dane, a native of Southern Appalachia, is the author of the novels: Solitary Pussytoes; A Chocolate Comedy; A Woman and Her Dog; The Zen of Yuki a true story; her memoir The Book of Husbands; a true story; the novella Pretty Weeds and the short story collection Women on Love.

She is the winner of numerous film and writing awards, including twice finalist at American Film Festival; nominee of prestigious American Cable Excellence award; winner of CINE Golden Eagle Award; writer of monologues used in the film SPEAKEASY women talkin’ mostly ‘bout men, which won Most Creative Film, American Motion Picture Society, LA; and former Director of Music Masters, a non-profit founded by Cellist Yo-Yo Ma.

Ms. Dane is at present writing her next book a tour de force on growing older in America, which is written in her trademark comic/pathos style using a writing voice described by Yo-Yo Ma as being, ‘Mellifluous’.
